About Us
About our Program
River Bluff Dachshunds located in Lake Charles, La has been breeding AKC Registered Miniature Dachshunds since 2007. My hounds in the program are my family pets and are genetically tested for breed purity and for 159 genetic disease markers. We are committed to ethical breeding practices, the betterment of the dachshund breed, and the rearing of happy, healthy and well behaved family dogs!
The River Bluff Gang
I have one stud named Otteaux-a smooth coated black and tan and two bitches named Wilhelmina-a smooth coated Black and Tan piebald and Sunny-a smooth coated ee Red. All of my hounds carry for long hair, chocolate, and piebald. I also have two retired hounds Danke-a black and tan female and Cooper-a black and tan piebald.
Our Little Hounds
All of our puppies come vet checked, up to date on wormings/vaccines, with AKC registration papers, a one year health guarantee, and a well supplied puppy care package. We work on beginning basic commands like "bed" and potty training on potty pads. We are committed to socializing and nurturing the little hounds in our care. We start the spoiling and you take over that job starting when your pup turns 8 weeks old! As a breeder it's important to me to get updates from our River Bluff families so I can follow the health of your hound so I'm always available for questions or concerns about the puppy we both love. We offer lifetime support!
